Cotinus coggygria
Common Smokebush

The leaves of Smokebush are broad-elliptical to slightly obovate, with entire margins and long petioles, arranged in an alternate to spiraled fashion around the stems. The miniature fruits are sparsely borne on the tips of the abundant pedicels that give Smokebush an extended ornamental appeal into late Summer.
