Cornus kousa
Kousa Dogwood

Kousa Dogwood (the last of the Dogwoods to flower) prominently displays its inflorescences well above the branch planes in early June (reminiscent of Doublefile Viburnum); thus, the foliage does not significantly obscure the floral display this late in the season.
