The fruits of Pagoda Dogwood ultimately become blue-purple or blue-black in color, but are quickly consumed by birds and other wildlife in mid-Summer. The pink-red pedicels and peduncles remain for awhile longer, however, and add extended ornamental appeal to the observant eye.
