The composite flowers of 'Baby Sun' occur as two types in the nusery trade (the other form has single golden-yellow inforescences). This Baby Sun Tickseed is different in that each ray flower has a dark red base, giving the entire inflorescence a bicolor effect. This true perennial should not be confused with Coreopsis tinctoria, of similar bicolor appearance but a true annual (although it may self-sow from year to year). |
