Chasmanthium latifolium
Northern Sea Oats

While the fruits of Northern Sea Oats are initially lime green in color, they transition to a tan-orange hue before maturing as light brown seeds that are arranged in a flattened fruit cluster. Besides the tendency of its thin stems to lodge, a potential liability of Northern Sea Oats is that it has the ability to prolifically reseed itself.
