Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard'
Boulevard Falsecypress

Although Boulevard Falsecypress (as a shrub) usually branches and foliages to the ground for an "upright Juniper-like appearance", it can be limbed up and selectively thinned to become a specimen small tree, which makes the removal of the interior dead needles much easier in spring (use long sleeves and leather-gloved hands to rub back and forth along the interior stems, and the needles will fall away).
