Cephalanthus occidentalis
Buttonbush

Buttonbush, a native North American, is a little-known shrub with glossy, late-emerging foliage that is perfect for naturalizing in permanently moist to wet sites, and has pincushion-like white inflorescences as its primary ornamental appeal in mid-summer. It is adaptable to shade, but best placed in sunny sites for optimum flowering.
