Buxus sempervirens
Boxwood

While many modern hybrids of Boxwood are not commonly seen in flower, the inflorescences of one of the most common parents of the hybrids show their creamy-yellow appearance in mid-Spring (yet do not show how malodorous, or pungently fragrant, they actually are).
