Aruncus dioicus
Goat's Beard

While the fruiting stalks of Astilbe remain upright in Winter, those of Goat's Beard are larger and bend over, having less appeal during the dormant season. Astilbe and Goat's Beard are compared here because in Spring, their flowering stalks and foliage closely resemble one another in structure.
