Serviceberries are often found as forest understory or forest perimeter trees, usually occurring in multitrunked form. They are most easily seen in their native habitats in Spring (when in white flower before the foliage emerges) and Autumn (when in fall color). Allegheny Serviceberry is the largest of the common ornamental serviceberries.
