The fluffy, columnar inflorescences of Anise-Hyssop somewhat resemble those of the much smaller Bugleweed, another Mint Family member. This perennial has a much more blue color than is shown here with a lavendar tint, due to photography without a blue filter. This plant is hardy throughout zone 6, but is very marginal in zone 5.
