Viburnum prunifolium
Blackhaw Viburnum

The floral buds of Blackhaw Viburnum (shown here) are plump at the base, with a short, acute apex. The floral buds of the closely related Nannyberry Viburnum are identical at the base, but have a long-tapering apex.
