The old-fashioned name of Snowball Viburnum applied to two white-flowering members of this genus: Sterile European Cranberrybush (Viburnum opulus 'Roseum') and Doublefile Viburnum (Viburnum plicatum, the sterile "species" form). In both cases, the spherical inflorescences are composed entirely of sterile florets, similar in appearance to Bigleaf Hydrangea. |
