Arrowwood Viburnum, sometimes a catch-all common name for a group of closely related species, hints at this association not only in the subtle differences of leaf morphology, but also in the extended season of bloom variation from one shrub to another. In this image, the left shrub is in full bloom, while the right shrub is about to bloom. Both are tentatively identified as Viburnum dentatum based upon their basal suckers and dentate leaves. |
