Arrowwood Viburnum is one of the few shrubs that has beautiful dark blue fruits, which are quickly consumed in August and September by the birds (other shrubs with various shades of blue or purple fruits include Oregon Grapeholly [Mahonia aquifolium], Fringe Trees [Chionanthus virginicus and Chionanthus retusus] and some forms of Gray Dogwood [Cornus racemosa]). |
