Tsuga canadensis
Canadian Hemlock

Like many evergreens, Canadian Hemlock achieves great beauty in its naturally unsheared state, being open and relatively unbranched when young, and filling in with many twigs and branchlets with age. Of all hardy evergreens, Canadian Hemlock is the most fine-textured, with many small, flattened needles and thin twigs.
