Toad Lilies are often planted near shady paths where their small but interesting flowers can be appreciated at close range in early autumn. However, the effect of the arching, foliage-clad stems is present throughout the entire growing season, as the stems seem to be a woven, zig-zag thread through the clasping leaves.
