Thuja occidentalis
American Arborvitae

The pyramidal to columnar, evergreen status of American Arborvitae, coupled with its quick growth, urban tolerance, and inexpensive price, make it a favorite of contractors for placement in the new landscapes of suburban homes. This shrub is also known as Arborvitae, Eastern Arborvitae, or White Cedar.
