Sambucus canadensis
American Elder

The huge showy inflorescences of Elderberry are creamy white and easily identify this rambling and suckering shrub to the passersby from the obscurity of a weedy site. In this image, the inflorescence is being viewed from below, but a normal top or side view reflects more sunlight, making it more white than is shown here.
