Many leaves emerge chartreuse-green in Spring, before they acquire higher levels of chlorophyll that produce darker green foliage. Herbert Azalea is semi-evergreen, and may revert back to this lighter shade of green in Autumn and Winter, probably indicating that it is in soils of relatively high pH.
