Quercus phellos
Willow Oak

Trees that stand among several surrounding trees have an ascending and upright growth habit, searching for sunlight and typically not having lower limbs on the trunk, due to self-pruning from lack of sunlight in the lower canopy. Willow Oak exhibits a finer texture as compared to the surrounding trees in this image, due to its smaller and thinner foliage.
