The foliage of Yellow Buckeye is similar to Ohio Buckeye, but has wider leaflets and is larger in size overall. It also is not nearly as prone to leaf scorch and powdery mildew later in the growing season. Its fruits have smooth husks, rather than the spiny ones of Ohio Buckeye.
