These two trees are both Swamp White Oaks, with characteristic fall color that is a mixture of chartreuse, yellow, and brown. Although it prefers moist to wet soils of moderate acidity, Swamp White Oak can tolerate neutral to alkaline pH soils and thrive in dry soils.
