Prunus virginiana 'Schubert'
Schubert Common Chokecherry

The symmetrically-branched Schubert Cherry (a cultivar of Common Chokeberry) is laden in mid-spring with strongly pungent (some say sweetly fragrant) white inflorescences. This cultivar, and its sport cultivar known as 'Canada Red', later develop a dense canopy of red-purple foliage.
