Podophyllum peltatum
Mayapple

Mayapple is a woodland native of Eastern North America, emerging in early Spring and producing one or two foliage "umbrellas" per stalk. This is primarily a foliage "wildflower", as single umbrellas are flowerless, and double umbrellas produce a single flower that is often unnoticed.
