In spite of the fact that it often has severe mite problems with age, Dwarf Alberta Spruce is one of the most common formal shrubs planted at foundations, having a dense, narrow conical shape in youth that slowly becomes more lumpy with maturity, appearing like a green snowman on old specimens.
