The sky-blue, wide-foliaged appeal of Dallas Blues Switchgrass is striking when found in specimen mass plantings, or when placed near some of the larger-flowering cool-colored perennials, such as Joe-Pye Weed (Eupatorium) or Ironweed (Vernonia). Other blue-foliaged cultivars of Switchgrass include 'Cloud Nine', 'Heavy Metal', and 'Prairie Sky'.
