'Dallas Blues' is the most appealing of the Switchgrass in Winter, having wider leaf blades, larger fruiting heads, and a more stiffly upright posture. In addition, members of the genus Panicum have very little leaf abscission and fruit shattering during Winter, and display an excellent buff color.
