Oxydendrum arboreum
Sourwood

Sourwood is one of the best-kept secrets among ornamental trees, shown here in late Summer when the lime-colored fruit pedicels create a bicolored effect against the darker green foliage backdrop. However, this beautiful but slow-growing tree, a member of the Ericaceous Family, requires acidic soil in order to survive and thrive.
