Opuntia compressa
Prickly Pear Cactus

The salmon-colored fruits of Prickly Pear Cactus somewhat resemble cigar butts, and, while noticeable, are not nearly as ornamental as their floral precursors. This image also shows that there is genetic variation within the species, with some members having pads (i.e. jointed stems, rather than leaves) without the sharp spines.
