Narcissus usually displays its flowers in a nodding fashion. In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a boy who, upon peering into a pool of water, fell in love with his own reflection and was changed into the nodding flower that bears his name. From this story we also get the words "narcissism" and "narcissistic" that deal with self-admiration.
