Mahonia aquifolium
Oregon Grapeholly

Oregon Grapeholly can display one of the most intense examples of Winter bronzing on its shiny evergreen leaves. However, best color retention throughout the Winter occurs in a sun- and wind-sheltered site, as this shrub is often a prime example of cosmeic winterburn damage that can be inflicted upon broadleaf evergreen foliage due to dessication during prolonged deep-freeze periods.
