The pink-lavendar inflorescences of Purple Loosestrife flower in mid-Summer and put on quite a show , performing best in moist to wet soils in sunny sites. Deadheading after bloom somewhat improves the ragged appearance of the plant in late Summer, but rebloom will not occur.
