Cardinal Flower is a Summer-blooming wildflower native to areas in Eastern North America that have naturally moist to wet soils. It attracts hummingbirds when in flower, and often lodges as the clump widens with age. Several new hybrids differing in vigor, foliage bronzing, and flower color have emerged with this species as one parent.
