Acer saccharum
Sugar Maple

Sugar Maple (shown here in flower) is often planted as a street tree, but is more subject to surface roots, disease and pest problems, leaf scorch, and leaf tatter under these urban stress conditions (including reflected heat and light, drought, channeled winds, soil compaction, restricted root zone, pollution, and winter salt).
