Ipomoea batatus 'Blackie'
Blackie Sweet Potato

Grown exclusively for its ornamental purple foliage, this cultivar of Sweet Potato rarely flowers. It also produces typical tubers at the end of the growing season in response to short days, and propagates very easily from either stem cuttings or tuber sprouts. (In this image, a green Mandevilla Vine has interwoven with the Sweet Potato Vine).
