Palace Purple Coral Bells produces mounds of red, purple, and bronzed leaves and tall stalks of tiny flowers (not shown). This cultivar is variously placed under the species of H. americana, H. micrantha, or H. villosa, and was the 1991 Perennial Plant Association's "Plant of the Year".
