Of the thousands of hybridized Daylilies, the main differences in floral appearance include color or bicolor, petal & sepal width & length, undulating or straight margins, number of flowers per inflorescence, overall size (sometimes a result of diploid versus tetraploid genetics), height and thickness of the scape, and potential for extended bloom or rebloom. With a few noteworthy exceptions, fragrance is not a trait of Daylilies. |
