Blue Oat Grass is larger (to 1.5 feet tall in foliage, and to 2.5 feet tall when in flower) as compared to Blue Fescue (Festuca glauca cultivars, from 0.5 to 1.5 feet tall), and makes a better impact in the landscape from a distance, due to its size and its slightly broader leaf blades. Both of these ornamental grasses are evergreen, but they lose much of their blue tint in the winter. |
