Variegated Norway Maple is one of the very few shade trees with variegated foliage (Acer negundo 'Flamingo', Fagus sylvatica 'Tricolor', and Liriodendron tulipifera 'Aureo-marginatum' are among the others); however, individual limbs will revert to solid green foliage and must be periodically removed to maintain a variegated canopy.
