Echinacea purpurea
Purple Coneflower

Purple Coneflower, shown here in species form in full sun in late July, performs better in full morning sun with some afternoon shade, where its leaves will not scorch and its pink-lavendar ray flowers (or "petals") will not bleach and fade.
