Dryopteris erythrosora
Autumn Fern

The unfurling fronds of Autumn Fern (whether occuring during the initial Spring emergence, or during occasional Summer flushes of minor growth) are coppery or bronze-red in color, resembling the "fall color" of certain woody plants, and thus give this fern its common name.
