While Husker Red Beardtongue is almost exclusively known for its burgandy-red foliage, it has tall white inflorescences in mid-Spring that are attractive in their own right. After flowering, the stalks should be thoroughly dead-headed back to the crowns, so that a second flush of basal bronzed foliage will emerge and be the predominate ornamental feature in Summer and Autumn.
